Silk Magenta Dress
While on a business trip I stopped into Thai Silks and picked up quite a few different kinds of silk fabrics. The few I picked up were: 100% washed silk which has this matte finish ( Cobalt and Magenta) , 4 ply crepe silk (white, red, and black stripe), floral silk + cotton (great for a shirt dress), and this Deep magenta/purple jersey knit silk (maxi skirt).

This simplistic Vogue pattern was great for a loud vibrant color. Here's a side note, boy oh boy, 100% silk feels wonderful against the skin.
The following alterations were:
Instead of neck facing, created a 5” collar folded in half
Adding 3” to length of shirt
Adding 5” to separate hem then pleating
Exposed 9” pink zipper
Exposed zipper with pink teeth
