I love attending any event that involves being around wonderful and outgoing people.  A dear friend of mine’s, Lisah Moore, invited me to celebrate her 40th and Fabulous Hollywood Prom themed birthday party.  She pulled out the red carpet literally for her special night.  Designing my dress leading up to the event was when the fun started.

The dress was a basic dress block for a knit fabric.  I added a few cut outs on the sides of the dress and an open split in the front.  The bottom half was made by:

-Measuring the circumference of stopping point of top half of dress.

-Divide by 4

-Measure to floor length and flare out as desired

Horse hair braid was added to bottom of dress for added structure to the hemline.

The dress was lined in the back with a dark grey knit lining and the front of dress was with a black mesh lining.  I applied sequins on top for extra bit of elegance and flare.

Lisah has a great set of girlfriends.  I've met a few of them at other events in past events Lisah has hosted and there were also a few I met for the first time this evening.  I’m sure you can see from the laughter in the pictures that we all had a great time on the dance floor, entertainment from Michael Jackson performance, photo booth silliness, and just plain enjoying each other’s company and joining in the fabulous 40th birthday party for Lisah. The Moore’s know how to party, from her husband's 40th birthday party on a yacht to a Kentucky Derby Houston watch party.
